Meteors
August 12, 10:30pm, Mycah and myself sat outside in the backyard in plastic chairs, stared up to the sky and waited for the Perseid meteor shower. We sang the classic song, twinkle, twinkle little star and waited..after about 10 minutes, the first meteor came, then another. Then tito Mon came and asked what we are up to, since it's so late to be outside and then another came. And before everybody realized that it's getting cold and it's too late for a 3 yr old to stay outside, we saw another one. In all, we saw 4 meteors, in a matter of less than 1 hour. If we were allowed to stay the whole night, we might have seen dozens. Oh well, that's good enough for me to write a blog. I have actually never seen so much meteors in one night, having lived in another city.
So, is Vancouver closer to the sky? Or is the sky clearer here? Or we just did not pay attention to those stars back home? It was a great sight!
